Experiential Ed

Experiential Education at Mission: Wolf

Experiential education is our trademark. Visitors at the sanctuary learn about wolves and ecology, but also get a chance to pitch in and work with their hands. Mission: Wolf is fueled by an increasing public demand for simple living, sustainability, hand-on work experience and immersion in nature. We encourage youth and adults to become more aware of the world around them and to become stewerds of the environment.

Ambassadors

The Travelling Ambassador Wolf Program

Each spring and fall, we travel across America with our most social wolves. For twelve weeks, our wolf bus covers 15,000 miles, teaching tens of thousands of people about wolves and the environment. Meeting a wolf face-to-face at our programs cannot be compared to videos, books or photos.

Volunteer Internships at Mission: Wolf

Mission: Wolf is run entirely by a community of volunteers who live on-site. Visitors are also welcome to stop by and volunteer for an hour or a week. We seek highly motivated and capable volunteers to staff our sanctuary. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and contribute a wide range of skills and knowledge. While we do not require prior experience working with wolves, we prefer applicants who are comfortable around animals.
